The new SmartEVO Compound uses a compound of 3 different polymers, each of which provides performance in a perfect balance of opposite characteristics, such as grip and glide. The ternary blend of polymers with “smart” behaviour characteristics as the basis of the outstanding properties of the SmartEvo compound, allows for better grip on dry and wet, while improving rolling resistance. SmartEVO Compound is a high-performance compound tuned for the most modern cycling disciplines, from local racing or World Tour to epic adventures where climate and road surfaces require tyres that excel in all circumstances. SmartEVO is for exclusive use of the P Zero range. The new generation of the PZERO Race TLR is the highest performing tyre in our portfolio as well as being the first tubeless tyre entirely made in Italy in the new Bollate factory. The introduction of the new SPEEDCORE technology in the 120tpi carcass involves the use of aramid mixed compound that covers the inner layer of the tyre, improving both the smoothness and durability of the rubber. Result: a less stiff but faster tyre. The compound maintains the same advanced SmartEVO technology, shared with the other high performance PZERO tires The highest performing tubeless-ready road structure in our range, involves the use of a layer of aramid-mixed compound that covers the inner layer of the tyre allowing it to hold air. This new construction makes the tyre more durable, thanks to the presence of aramid, but at the same time less rigid and faster, for greater flexibility of the compound compared to a bead-to-bead fabric. The carcass is then completed by a nylon canvas in 120tpi and an anti-puncture layer, also in aramid.
