The Maxxis Assegai tire is named after a Zulu spear, reflecting its South African roots. Unlike specialized tires, the Assegai performs well across diverse conditions for speed and agility.
[ 3C MaxxGrip ] Maxxis’ 3C tires use a firm base rubber to reduce rolling resistance and progressively softer rubber on outer layers to optimize traction. 3C MaxxGrip is a high-traction, slow-rebounding compound intended for enduro and DH.
[ EXO+ ] A material, resistant to cuts and abrasions, incorporated into the sidewalls of various gravel and MTB tires, plus the addition of a rubber material encircling the bead to prevent pinch flats and protect rims.
